Swim in Wine, a dream come true

Recent studies suggesting that the French suffer less heart disease due to a regular intake of wine confirmed what most oenophiles have long suspected: wine not only tastes good – it’s also good for you.

Red wine has a slew of anti-aging skin benefits—especially because it contains resveratrol, an antioxidant that stimulates cell proteins and protects the body against damages of the time. It appears Cleopatra was on to something when she bathed in tubs of wine 2,000 years ago.

Wine spas are present all around the world but in Japan, The Yunesson Spa Resort of Hakone went even further by offering a giant outdoor pool filled with Merlot. A dream come true for many wine lovers, swim in wine while the waiter is filling up your glass. They offer this service 12 days per year, just before the new year.

If you don’t want to waste wine, they also provide tea, coffee, sake, chocolate bath for valentine’s day and even ramen noodle bath.
